PRE-EVENT PREP
We'll hook you up with everything you need to know before adventure day—what to bring, what to wear, and how to prepare for a day on the wall.
PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTION
Practice foundational fly fishing techniques with our professional guide partners including casting, rigging your rod, reading water, and fly selection.
A BUCKET LIST EXPERIENCE
Get a taste for fly fishing (or sharpen your skills) on a stretch of water considered to be one of the best trout streams in the lower 48!

LOGISTICS & F.A.Q.
WHaT IS THE SCHEDULE?
This is a 4 hour adventure starting at 11:30. You'll meet at a designated spot on the Provo river about 15-30 minutes from Park City, where you'll gear up and learn some foundational skills before you head out onto the water. You'll get a full, detailed schedule the week leading up to the event.
WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED?
All technical gear (waders, boots, rod/reel, and flies) will be provided by our guide partners. Bring a small backpack with water, snacks, sunscreen, and layers. We will also send a full gear list prior to the event.
Do I need any previous experience or physical abilities?
Nope! This event is perfect for first timers, or those who want to sharpen their skills with support from a professional guide. Wading does require some balance, but your guide will give you tips for doing it safely.
How many people will be attending?
6-8 participants including your ILLA Host. The guide ratio is 2:1 so you'll get plenty of personalized instruction!
THE EXPERTS
Park City Fly Fishing Company guides have over 40 years of combined experience guiding in the area, including Jeff Harwin with 12 years guiding on the Provo River. His team of guides are known for their knowledge, patience, and ability to help anglers of all skill levels.
Meet your HOST, SARA
Sara is a long-time ILLA member based in Park City, Utah. She's a snowboarder, and loves to fly fish. She'll be communicating with you all before and during the event to make sure you have everything you need to feel supported. The #1 goal of this day is to have a TON of fun, and she knows from experience that you will!
